Maynard Manyowa first began working as a sports journalist while in high school. He scored his first major job as a sports reporter for a London based websit in 2012. In 2013 he began working as a hard news reporter, before starting work as an investigative journalist in 2015. He has covered political news, social news, business, entertainment, and long form features. In 2016 Maynard began focusing on multimedia journalism, aiming to create news that could be represented and distributed via audio, video, text and web.
